Introduction to Molecular Hydrogen
Molecular Hydrogen has been used as a diving gas since the 1940s but its medical uses investigations only started in earnest in 2007. Since then, 99% of all research has been carried out in China and Japan. Despite hundreds of peer-reviewed publications, molecular is relatively unheard of in the U.S. In the body, Moleculer Hydrogen reduces oxidative stress – something common to all cells.
Hydrogen water is considered a supplement and the easiest form to use on a regular basis. The metric for any Hydrogen generating product is its parts per million (ppm) and tablets produce the highest levels and the one used here. The tables ARE NOT SWALLOWED. They are a clever implementation of the high school science experiment where a piece of magnesium metal is dropped in a beaker of acid. It produces hydrogen gas, at which point the teacher dramatically lights with an open flame. Poof! The tablets are nanoparticles of magnesium metal combined with tartaric acid (found in the kitchen as Cream of Tarter) and produce nanobubbles that become dissolved in the water.
Molecular hydrogen has been used as a diving gas since 1940. There is no toxicity level and no medical study has shown hydrogen to have any harmful effect on participants. Yes, we all know about the Hindenburg, and yes it can explode. However, molecular hydrogen supplements produce hydrogen in the form of hydrogen saturated water, will not explode as maintains atmospheric hydrogen levels below the 4% or greater hydrogen concentration needed to create an explosive mixture.
- Hydrogen water is most effective on an empty stomach. It is suggested that two tablets are used each day. More tablets have diminishing returns. Start out with one tablet per day.
- Place 16 oz of water in a glass. Do not put the water in a closed bottle, and the best results (high ppm) are obtained with a wide mouth glass – the reason will be explained below. Other than not being carbonated, the choice of water is yours.
- Wait until the tablet is completely dissolved and immediately drink. While drinking in one ‘chug’ is preferred, two is fine if you can’t.

The saturation point of H2 gas in water at room temperature with no external force is 1.6 mg/L or 1.6 parts per million. Typically most machines operating under no pressure will only get a fraction of this, with well-maintained ionizers often retaining levels as low as 0.1 mg/L(0.1 PPM) and the best models struggling to achieve 1 mg/L(1 PPM). Often these machines produce adequate amounts of gas, however, they produce it in a manner that encourages the gas to form large bubbles and immediately dissipate into the air.

Notice in image 1, our stream looks much like bubbling gas into the water would, the bubbles are traveling up in an almost perfectly straight line.
Image 2 starts to paint a different picture. Notice how instead of dissipating into the air, leaving little left in the water, our cloud of nano-bubbles rolls downwards when it comes to the surface, intensifying in image 3 and beginning to spread throughout the entire container.
Image 4 shows the water with a fully formed cloud, dense with H2 gas. While some of the best technologies on the market struggle to achieve 30% of gas produced remaining in solution, our measurements have been as high as 90%! Just like with other vitamins and minerals where it doesn’t matter how much you consume but how much is bioavailable, with h2 gas it doesn’t matter how much is produced it matters how much remains in the water for consumption.
The truly amazing detail in all of this is due to our knowledge on nano-bubbles remaining in solution undissolved for extended periods of time and discoveries on how to create an ideal stream of nano-bubbles to take advantage of this, our Rejuvenation hydrogen tablets have been measured as high as 9 mg/L*, or 9PPM in a 500ml container. One tablet delivering 4.5mg of H2 in a glass- to give full context, the expensive ionizers producing 0.1mg/L would need 45L of water consumption, or 90x the volume to get the same dosage.
